My favorite saying would have to be, "Where you start is not as important as where you finish" because if you start off in the lead doesn't always mean you will finish there, but you have to keep working at it. I am at NMU because i want to pursue a degree in Radiogrphy and i would like to meet new people. I chose NMU becuse they have a really good Radiography program that i would like to get into. Also it's not too far from my hometown. I noticed that the campus is pretty clean, which is really nice, and my dorm hall is really clean because it just got renovated. So that makes it more like home. An observation in my classes is that some are really big and some are small. The smaller classes are nicer becuase it's easier for the Intstructor to help you. I haven't made too many observations about other students, but some of then would hae to be that while in class while your supposed to be learning, theres students on facebook, myspace, or texting, which is not smart becuase they will probably end up not doing too well. The Intructors that I have are all really nice so far and are willing to help you if you go and ask them questions. My biggest challenges this year will be studying and trying to fit all my homework in. I never studied in high school, but i still did fine in all my work, but now i actually have to study all of the time and read the chapters in all my classes, which i never did before. So that will definitely be my biggest challege. The goal I am going to set for myself, is to do good on all of my quiz's next week.

Yay! I'm glad you realize that facebook/myspace/AIM during college classes is not a smart move. It is amazing to me that students are basically ignoring the Profs they are paying for, so they can chat to their friends who they'll see in an hour anyways. Good for you..

It makes me kinda sad that students can go through high school without studying or cracking a book - what does that say about our education system? ;) Anyways, yes this will be a major change because I recommend you read everything that's assigned in all your classes, and I'm glad you are doing that.

We'll be discussing study tips etc.. in class Tuesday.

I'm glad you like the dorms!! Nice you got a renovated one.

Yeah, Hunt/VA looks really nice now. I'm pretty sure all the Upward Bound kids ended up staying in Halverson this summer because Hunt/VA was shut down.
